Durable and dependable, the EBE1 electric bike by GOTRAX is sure to impress. This rear suspension type 1 ebike is perfect for any city street or mountain path.
Based out of Dallas, Texas, GOTRAX has been designing and manufacturing bikes for years now. They keep their operations based out of Texas so that the bikes can be affordable for any budget. The bike is some of the cheapest we’ve seen, but some of the best build available.
The 350 Watt Avg Motor can only hit 15.5MPH which is pretty low for a type 1 and with a 36v Battery 10AH, this bike isn’t as powerful as other models offered by GOTRAX. 27.5 miles on one charge is what you’re looking at with this bike.
One thing that stays consistent throughout GOTRAX bikes is their strong, waterproof metal frames. This bike has a waterproof rating of IP54. This bike is definitely on the smaller end with the 33.9″x15″x25.6″ frame and the 16″ tires.
You receive a full rear suspension for shock absorption while riding on rough terrain. Only black is available for the EBE1. You can receive a 30-day return policy and a 90-day warranty with this bike. The shifters are a twisting hand throttle that has 5-speed settings.
While it might not necessarily be the most powerful bike in their arsenal, the EBE1 has plenty of credit to its name. It’s been around longer and continues to be a force in the type 1 ebike category. One thing that makes this bike truly stand from other GOTRAX products is the rear suspension. GOTRAX typically only offers hardtail bikes, but this one comes with decent shock resistance.

I bought this ebike for my fiance, so that it would make it more enjoyable for her.to get out there and ride with me. I must add that I have grown to like it probably even more then she has…lol. It is well built, thought out, and functions quite well for the size, and for the fact of it being a foldable bike. I only have one complaint, and thus which is the reason it only was given 4 stars, instead of the 5 stars I would have liked to have given it otherwise… This issue is the fact that in temperatures below freezing, it seems to simply shut down..?:s. I mean it will actually shut off during a ride, and in some cases, in situations in which could potentially be dangerous, considering without power it isn’t the most nimble. I can’t seem to find anywhere, any explanation to why this is, and have searched pretty diligently to find a resolution..? I have owned dozens of different ebikes myself, and never have run into this type of problem… It gives zero warning as to when it will shut down, and once it has, has to be brought into somewhere warm and left for quite some time in order to turn on again..? Still working on figuring this out, and hopefully resolve it before winter is over, but this greatly has reduced the popularity of wanting to use this ebike during these winter months:(. I will comment if I have had any success, but am also hoping to hear any feedback from anyone else who has had the same issue, and or whom knows something of how to correct the problem as well..? Any information would he appreciated, thank you.
