After graduating from the Rhode Island School of design, Miller Evans decided to pursue his love of cycling and outdoor sports. The result was Ecotric. Founded in San Francisco, Ecotric has a full range of electric bikes, ranging from folding models to fat tire models. Every Ecotric model is fully made and manufactured right at the Ecotric facilities in San Francisco, California. Today we’re going to focus on one of Ecotric’s most popular models: the Ecotric Fat Tire Beach Snow Electric Bike.

What makes this model so popular among e-bike enthusiasts? It all begins with the Shimano Acera 7-Speed Derailleur located within this bike. Whether you’re a casual rider or somewhat more advanced, the bike will give you enough speed options to tolerate misalignment over the course of a ride. The bike also holds the front and rear Tektro Novela Mechanical Disc 160mm Rotor disc brakes. Unlike similar fat tire models, the Ecotric is also equipped with an outage braking system to provide extra force in the event of an abrupt halt.

Any good electric bike has a powerful battery to bolster your ride. The Ecotric Fat Tire is no exception. With a 36-volt 12 Ah lithium battery, you can cover distances up to 21 to 25 miles on a single charge. The battery has an estimated life of 400 to 600 total charge cycles. On or off the bike, the battery can be charged for 5 to 8 hours. When you’ve reached a full charge, the smart lithium charger turns green.

To power your ride, the Ecotric is well-equipped with a generous 500-watt geared rear hub motor, which can help accelerate the bike up to 23 mph. The bike contains both pedal assist and throttle work modes. If you want to cover a bit more distance, go with the pedal assist. If you want the option to pedal or not, use the throttle mode. The motor can help you to tackle tough terrain, but the 26-inch by 4-inch fat tires will keep you balanced on snow, sand, city roads, dirt, and wet roads.

With a strong aluminum alloy frame and fixed-front suspension fork, the bike has a maximum load capacity of 265 lbs or 120 kgs. It ranges in price from $999 to $1299 and is available in black.

Overall the Ecotric Rocket Fat Tire electric bike is a solid and well-made bike that works as it was intended. Efficient and well-made, the 432-watt lithium battery and geared hub motor can get you up to 21 to 25 miles on a solitary charge.
