For decades, Wisconsin based Trek bikes have been on the forefront of innovation. From regular bikes to electric bicycles, Trek seeks to innovate the extraordinary. Currently, all Trek bikes are designed in the US. They currently have two manufacturing facilities in Wisconsin and facilities overseas in Germany, Holland, and China. Trek offers a full range of electric bikes, but few can hold a candle to the Domane+ LT. Let’s dive right in to what makes the Trek Domane+ LT truly shine.
Priced between $6,499.99 – $6,999.99, the Trek Domane+ LT isn’t the most affordable option. However, it is a totally advanced electric bike designed for avid bike riders seeking an authentic experience. Unlike other bikes in this price range, the Domane+ LT features an efficient Fazua drive system that can give you a boost when riding into a headwind or climbing up a steep incline.
Competitor options may be heavy and difficult, but the Domane+ LT is a lightweight electric bike made from an OCLV carbon frame and fork with rear IsoSpeed. It also includes a lightning fast Fazua Evation Motor and a 250Wh battery that can help you to reach speeds up to 20 mph. For an even less weight, you have the option of removing the Fazua drivepack (the motor and battery) from the bike frame and riding without the pack in tow. Additionally, the bike includes a Fazua controller, stop-fast hydraulic disc brakes, and a powerful Shimano Ultegra drivetrain.
Of course, what really sets the Domane+ LT apart from other high-end bike brands might just be the road-smoothing IsoSpeed. With IsoSpeed, the bike is capable of absorbing fatiguing bumps on terrain for a smoother, quicker, and more enjoyable ride.
The model also includes a front IsoSpeed Decoupler for balance and Endurance Geometry for stability, handling, and responsiveness. A Shimano Ultegra HG701, 11-speed chain also helps put the rider in more control.
Overall, the Domane+ LT bike is a solid electric model that looks just like a traditional road bike. The Fazua system means zero drag or resistance, while you’re offered the best assistance on the market.
