5 Underwater Cycling Guinness World Records

Have you ever tried riding a bike underwater? It is the same as riding a bike on the ground, only cyclists wear scuba equipment and also are underwater. Take a look at these 5 impressive world records taken in 2013:

The number of people riding bikes underwater: 38 divers;

The fastest cycled 50 meters (olympic pool) underwater: 1 minute 15 seconds.

Also, the longest distance ever cycled underwater is 6.7 km (4.16 miles). This Guinness World Record was taken by Jens Stoetzner in 2013.

Another underwater cycling record belongs to Vittorio Innocente who rode a bike at a depth of 28m (92ft) and cycled along a 110m (360ft) long underwater slope in 2008.

The longest distance cycled on a bike, underwater and in a single breath is 855 m (2,805 ft 1 in). This world record was taken by Homar Leuci in 2017.
